Cafés Henri: the requirement of a coffee that is exceptional and naturally full of flavours

A committed coffee roaster since 1949, Cafés Henri has regularly obtained top-of-the-range equipment to support its development in France and overseas. Its high-end coffees are today distributed in stores, on the Internet, in companies and in the CHR network in the Great East of France.

In this policy of international growth, one thing remains unchanged: the quality of the production. The coffee beans are still selected by the owner Frédéric Steiner, and completely roasted according to a traditional method.

No addition or transformation alters this natural product and its recognised stimulating properties. Our know-how: revealing the aromas of a coffee bean selected for its quality from wild or semi-wild coffee bushes.

Our selection of “Pure Origin” coffees

Lovers of the “grand crus” varieties can rely on the richness and intensity of our “pure origin” coffees. Aromatic pearls available in all formats (beans, ground, pods and capsules) and ready to be served in the preparation of your choice (with sugar, milk, chilled, etc.).

You can try something different with our range of rare coffees and exceptional varieties:

  • Brazilian Arabica: balanced and light coffee;
  • Colombian Excelso: sweet and fruity coffee;
  • Indonesian Blue Java: great variety, which delivers a strong chocolate taste.
  • Mexican Maragogype: the biggest coffee bean gives one of the finest coffees;
  • Blond Maragogype: lighter and clearer thanks to a shorter roasting.
  • Australian Skyburry: extremely rare, this coffee is an absolute aromatic gem. Fruity, full-bodied and with a full flavour. This is an exceptional discovery, which people savour like vintage wine. A coffee for coffee lovers.

For responsible consumption, you can check out our fairtrade coffees: 100% Arabica coffees obtained through organic farming.

The blends which have made Cafés Henri famous

New blends are created every year in our laboratory, to bring you a more complex beverage, dominated by a final note which is, at times, acidic, fruity or bold.

  • Jubilee: a blend created by Mr Henri 40 years ago, and which has always been a success… a point of reference in our Cafés Henri stores also sold in Jubilee blond;
  • Taste: subtle blend of Ethiopian Mocha and African Arabica;
  • Italian blend: balanced blend consisting of 60% South American Arabica and 40% Robusta superior;
  • Elsass Café: beautiful blend of four Arabicas from three continents (Central America, Africa and Asia). A Frédéric Steiner signature blend;
  • Decaffeinated with water: a harmonious blend of Arabicas from the best plantations in South America, which can be enjoyed throughout the day (decaffeinated with water).

Coffee of the month selected by Cafés Henri!

You can enjoy different coffees and take your senses on a voyage by sipping the coffee of the month: Vilcabamba in Ecuador, Sinouk in Laos, Nepal Mount Everest Supreme, Peru Tropical Paradise, Cuba Serrano… A rare coffee, often produced confidentially, which you can discover each month in our 11 stores and online.

Making the perfect cup of coffee

Depending on your how you like your coffee, take 7 to 10 grams of ground coffee per cup, i.e. roughly one full table spoon. Use non-calciferous water, preferably spring water. Once the packet is opened, it is recommended to refrigerate the coffee in an airtight container. This way, the coffee will retain its aroma and finesse till the last sip.

Warm and friendly places to enjoy rare, freshly roasted and ground coffees.
