Cafés Henri production: traceability from the plantation to the cup

Selection of the best origins when purchasing, by the owner himself

As a demanding lover of coffee, the Cafés Henri expert and manager, Frédéric Steiner, roams across producer countries in four continents to select the best beans, from wild or semi-wild coffee bushes.

Manual cultivation is another condition required to satisfy this constant quest for quality, which according to Frédéric Steiner, is the only method which allows picking coffee cherries at the optimal stage of ripeness. The particular feature of the coffee bush is that it has green and red cherries at the same time.

Systematic tasting of the imported batches in our laboratory

At the end of this rigorous selection of beans, each batch of imported coffee is then verified by sampling and tasting by Frédéric Steiner and our head coffee roaster. This quality control is carried out regularly throughout the production process, during the tests carried out in our laboratory in Hœrdt. Wholesalers and suppliers of import/export coffee can thus rely on the traceability of our coffees, from the plantation to the cup, and can also be sure of their gustative quality. We prefer small-scale productions, which are of a higher quality and fairer (fairtrade, solidarity trade, organic coffee production, etc.). > chronological error coffees are purchased only after approval of samples: everything is tasted and verified before purchasing (very important detail).

The strength of Cafés Henri: 67 years of expertise in the field of coffee and proven logistics

The quality of coffee from our coffee roasting and packaging site has been pleasing our customers for more than 67 years. The regular growth experienced by Cafés Henri has allowed us to gradually equip ourselves to support this increase in production.

Today, more than 600,000 kg of coffee is roasted every year on our premises. This production volume, combined with proven logistics and traceability of our products, allows us to meet the requirements of wholesalers and exporters. We import coffee ourselves, and we are perfectly aware of the rules and constraints of international markets and are thus capable of anticipating any problems.
